Your dentist will perform a physical exam of your mouth and teeth to ensure that you are a good candidate for dentures. An x-ray and an impression of your teeth is taken that will be sent to a lab to craft dentures that are customized to your mouth.
When your dentist inserts the final denture into your mouth, subtle adjustments will be made. If needed, screws or pins may be utilized to maintain a sturdy and stable denture. In the days after placement, you may feel slight pain because your mouth needs to adjust to the new appliance. You can smile and chew your favorite foods again!
